My ideas of Wicca have developed from personal expereince, childhood (from both my grandmother and my aunt), from popular books (see my wicca library) and from popular fiction, which is happening to a whole new generation with a growing new age movement. Wicca to me is about a connection with and a reverence of the nature that is all around us, the seasons of the year and the divinity therein. Firstly I must say that my beliefs are entirely personal to me, this whole section is here as to provide the fullest picture of me as possible in cyberville. I am solitary practitioner of my faith and I have no wish or desire to change that or recruit devotees and call myself a "High" anything. What I do and how I do it is between me and my dieties, which leads me on quite nicely! My Goddess and God have no faces, they are not Isis and Osiris or Diana and Pan. I think that by fitting the undefinable into shapes that our ancestors built up demonstrates the human complusion to put a perfect description and label to everything. I do not think that I can do that to the devine powers that I pay homage to and ask for guidance from. From before knowing that I was wiccan/pagan, when i was taken to church ever sunday i have had a facination with ancient egypt, it's ways, art and customes (or at least that which we can decipher after so long). if anyone who knows me well enough to be in my home will tell you it is littered with bit and pieces representing that era, as well as couple of tattoos(!), but these do not repesent my faith. they are an interest and a hobby which people confuse wityh faith when they hear that i am wiccan and into egypt, but trust me they are not.
